Hermóðr the Brave Redone/Study

I wanted to combine studying an old master with giving Hermóðr is getting a new fresh coat of paint. I picked Gerard van Honthorst, he had some nice lighting, expressions and brushwork that I wished to practice . The Happy Violinist was the painting I tried to recreate but with the vampire Hermóðr instead. There are has been some guesswork involved with how some materials should be painted in his style but I am quite happy how it turned out.
